Soon the Felinoire Foundation, an organization created with a view to helping dog and cats owners will start its activity. Our mission is supporting animal carers, education, protecting animal rights and building a responsible adoption community.
About the foundation
Foundation's assumptions
The Felinoire Foundation was created to support dog and cats caregivers, promote animal adoption, as well as counteract violence against animals through education and real aid. Our goal is to create a community full of empathy, in which every animal will find a good home, and every guardian will receive support in difficult times.
The genesis of the name
The name Felinoire comes from French. The word félin means "cat" or "cat" and noire means "black" color. Black cats are often unjustly stigmatized, hurt and overlooked in adoptions. Meanwhile, contrary to unjustified superstitions about unlucky, in many cultures in the world black cats are seen as symbols of happiness, prosperity and protection of households. The name of the Foundation is a metaphor for hope and support, which we want to offer devoted dogs and cats who have found themselves in a difficult financial situation.
Our mission
The mission of the Felinoire Foundation is to change negative stereotypes and a reminder that every animal - regardless of color or other features - deserves love, respect and care. Some people still keep animals in unworthy conditions, guided by bad patterns passed down from generation to generation, often not realizing their harmfulness and the need to change the approach. We want to stop this chain through educational activities addressed to both children and adolescents and adults.
Foundation strategy
The Foundation's long -term strategy is based on three pillars:
- Direct assistance - providing support to animal owners in a difficult financial situation, including providing food based on the charity model "suspended karma".
- Promotion of adoption - increasing the number of adoption of dogs and cats through educational campaigns and supporting shelters.
- Education and counteracting violence -raising social awareness about humanitarian treatment of animals and cooperation with NGOs and local organizations to counteract violence.
